49 boxes containing 661 pieces of Pump Action Rifles found inside the container seized in Lagos today by the Nigerian Customs Service.

BUG 265 XG conveying a 40ft container (PONU/825914/3) along Apapa rd, Lagos Truck was taken to F.O.U. premises for examination & 49 boxes with 661 pieces of pump action rifles concealed with steel doors were revealed NAN quotes CG Customs, Hameed Ali as saying the Pump Action Rifles were under absolute prohibition and that its importation was illegal. Arrested suspects are: Oscan Okafor (an importer), Mahmud Haruna (a clearing agent), Sadique Mustapha (leading arms to its destination).- CG CG Ali says Customs officers involved in clearance of containers ARRESTED, already in custody of Comptroller Mahmud Haruna of FOU Zone “A’’.

Extra-Judicial Killings in Abuja, Benin: ASP kills senator's son.                         The Force Criminal  Investigations Department (FCID) of the Nigerian Police force has arrested and detained an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, and six other Police officers over allegations of extra-judicial killings in separate incidents that occurred in Abuja and Benin, the Edo State capital.
