Why are some Senators of the 8th Assembly such as Senators Dino Melaye, Ben Bruce etc., threatening to mobilise Nigerians against the government's Petrol Subsidy removal?

░  Why are some Senators of the 8th Assembly such as Senators Dino Melaye, Ben Bruce etc., threatening to mobilise Nigerians against the government's Petrol Subsidy removal?

Are  Senators Dino Melaye, Ben Bruce, etc Still In The 8th Assembly?

░  The 2016 Budget made no provisions for Fuel Subsidy Payments. So where do we get ₦16.3bn per month to pay the Subsidy?

░  The 2016 Budget was passed by the 8th Assembly.

░  The 8th Assembly, was fully represented at the signing into law of the 2016 Appropriate bill by President Buhari.
The 8th Assembly applauded themselves for a job well-done.

░  Again, why are some Senators of the 8th Assembly such as Senators Dino Melaye, Ben Bruce etc., threatening to mobilise Nigerians against the Petrol Subsidy removal?

░  Where were they when their colleagues at the 8th Assembly approved and took the glory for the 2016 budget that included the removal of the Petrol Subsidy?

░  This action of the government, as hard as it might be initially, is a patriotic act made in the long term interests of Nigerians.

░  The 8th Assembly, who approved this patriotic act should be in the forefront of mobilising Nigerians for support and explaining to them the benefits which according to Jasper Azuatalam includes:1. Marketers and dealers can no longer collect dollars from CBN and sell at the parallel market instead of importing fuel and then causing fuel shortage

2. Marketers and dealers can no longer divert fuel to Chad, Benin and other neighbouring countries since they will not make extra profit in doing so

3. Everyone can now buy fuel and import. There are no more cabals in the Petroleum industry. Anyone can join and do business.

4. More fuel will be brought to Nigeria and there will be competition among marketers that fuel station will be begging and giving incentives to customers to buy their fuel.

5. Competition will drive down the price of fuel as seen in the case of diesel.

6. Government will use its resources and time to develop infrastructure.

░  I believe the distinguished and honourable members of the 8th Assembly will continue to defend the budget they approved. The President intends to implement it to the letter to pull us out of abject poverty and want.  We all must support the President and his actions. He means well.

Extra-Judicial Killings in Abuja, Benin: ASP kills senator's son.                         The Force Criminal  Investigations Department (FCID) of the Nigerian Police force has arrested and detained an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, and six other Police officers over allegations of extra-judicial killings in separate incidents that occurred in Abuja and Benin, the Edo State capital.
