INEC RECS: SENATE WILL REGRET ITS DECISION TO THREATEN BUHARI :– SAGAY The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN) has described the decision of the Senate to suspend the confirmation of RECs of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as childish. The Senate had on Tuesday abandoned the confirmation to protest the retention of Ibrahim Magu as acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over Buhari’s insistence to keep Magu. Sagay said President Muhammadu Buhari cannot be threatened by the Senate. He said, “That action is childish and irresponsible. Do they think Buhari is a man that can easily be threatened? My God! How can people of such character occupy the highest legislative office in the country?
